Istikhara means asking for good. It means seeking help from Allah Almighty in a matter in which a person does not know what to do next. In such a case, he asks Allah for help. Generally, Istikhara is done for seven days, but if something is urgent and there is not enough time to perform Istikhara on the same day. If the situation is such that we do not have much time to do long Istikhara dua, then this short istikhara dua can also be recited. How to Do Quick Istikhara Prayer
When intending to do something and not having time to do Masnoon Istikhara. If the decision has to be made quickly and do not have the time to recite Nafl, then a short form of istikhara dua can also be done.
Just like the meaning of a hadith Sharif, Hazrat Aisha says that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say this when He(PBUH) intended to do something. “O Allah, make this work a means of good for me, and like what is best for me”.
In order to recite the short Istikhara prayer, first of all, it should make sure that a person should be absolutely clean and pure. After that, the intention should be in the heart that I am reciting the Istikhara supplication. I should have faith in my heart that Allah Almighty will definitely guide me in this matter.

When Should One Recite The Mini Istikhara Dua
This is a short istikhara dua (and has easy method) that can be recited anywhere and anytime. If there is a hurry to decide on a matter, then it should be recited as much as possible and recited with full faith. It is very important for a person to be clean to perform Istikhara.
And there should be firm belief in the heart that Allah Almighty will surely help in this matter. A person should read the dua with complete faith and confidence and keep reciting it continuously.

In fact, we know that Istikhara is done about something in which we want to seek guidance or help from Allah Ta’ala and here’s the easy way of Istikhara is also described. But one thing is worth noting here that Istikhara is done about something that is permissible in Sharia.
It means that it is better to do this work and it is also better not to do it. If the heart wants to do this work, but there is also an idea in the heart that doing it may be bad , then it is better to do istikhara about this matter. Like accepting someone’s relationship or starting a business with someone.
Istikhara can never be done for something that is forbidden in the Shari’ah. Istikhara is always done for what is permissible and halal and is done for what is permitted by the Shari’ah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that whoever is in need should do Istikhara himself.
